No two pieces of work are the same. We will only know how much to charge you once we have enough information about the work (for detailed information on how we price translations, click here). Our rates are highly competitive:

from £20 per 1000 words for proofreading

from £40 per 1000 words for editing

from £80 per 1000 words for translation (for detailed information on how we price translations, click here)

from £80 per 1000 words for writing

When setting a price, we will consider the following factors:

-         Complexity: This relates to the inherent difficulty of the work (in the case of writing, editing, and translation), or frequency of errors (in the case of proofreading).

-         Number of linguists involved: An average translation would involve three consultants. We have to pay each of the linguists involved. This will be reflected in the price.

-         Whether the work is urgent: If you need the work done more quickly, we will charge you more. How much more would depend on how quickly you need the work done, how long it would normally take us to do it, and the availability of appropriate consultants at short notice. The surcharge would always be agreed beforehand, and would normally be in the range of 20%-100%.

-         Length: We normally set a rate per word based on the above factors, which we would multiply by the number of words. In the case of proofreading, editing, and translation, the “length” refers to the number of words in the original. In the case of writing, it refers to the number of words you ask for. Very short pieces of work might be subject to a minimum charge.

We offer reductions to regular customers. These tend to be between 1% and 10%, depending on the regularity and volume of your custom.
